Question

TROJ_BREDOLAB.J Virus on user's PC.

I have a user with the trojan TROJ_BREDOLAB.J on his laptop. We have Microtrend Office Scan on the laptop, and the user also has used a different anti-virus program but with no luck. (I don't know the name of the other Anti-Virus software, I just know it's has a Chinese name, and the user is in China).

I've follows the steps that Microtrend recommends, but without success. Any other options?

Run a Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware scan.

Reboot the PC in safe mode and run a full scan with Trend Micro. If it can find the virus, then it should remove the virus as well.

The free version works at detecting the problem. Is there a free way of removing the trojan? The end user tells me that he has to get the paid version to remove the files.

Hello,
No you do not need the paid version to remove the files, if you are talking about malwarebytes.  After it scans, follow the prompt to Remove (it is actually a push button on the bottom right).

Did you run the Malwarebytes and Super AntiSpyware scan?  What is the status?

The user has used Malwarebytes, but not Super AntiSpyware. The time different in supporting a sales rep in China is somewhere difficult/

The Trojan is still present on the laptop.

Also when the user tries to access the email server, we now get a "connection is interloped message"

If they haven't run the SuperAntispyware scan, I recommend doing so.  One other option is to use a UBCD4Win (Ultimate Boot) CD to boot to and then run the spyware scanners from there.
