Need Alternative to Symantec Endpoint Protection

I have Symantec Endpoint Connection 11.0 for Small Business Server w/ Mail Security for Exchange.  What do you recommend to replace it.  Is Trend Micro a good Alternative?

Why do you want to replace it? Is it cost related?

What are the most important factors to you apart from the quality of the product with regard to virus protection?

Do you use a hardware or software firewall? If software would a combined suite containing anti-virus and a firewall be of interest.

How many clients do you have attached to the server and do you want the anti virus on them to be managed by the server?

Hi

I havent used symantec products in ages as I find them bloated both on the client and server side of things.
 Im currently running the worry free business security advanced suit version 6.0 for a year now and I cant find a fault with it. The installation process was really easy as there is loads of role out options.  If you take out the support with trend you also receive the latest upgrades to the program

As an added layer of security I also have in place webroots spam and virus filter, it is a hosted service but it is really easy to use.

I have some customers that use SEP 11, but I prefer Kaspersky Enterprise Edition:

There is also a component for Mail servers. Look on the left side of the page for what you need.

You can also download a full featured trial version.

Replacing Symantec is not an economic issue.  Endpoint is a pain in the butt.  It continually eats up disk space inspite of the patches I have installed.  It has slowed the workstations to a crawl.  I have 3 Small Business servers running Endpoint and the first one expires in October.
Zombiepunk, can you elaborate a little more on the filters.

I couldn't agree more with Zombiepunk and you about the bloatedness of Symantec.

I have used AVG for ages, having first learnt about it through the free pc version.

The Internet Security SBS Edition contains Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Rootkit, Anti-Spam and more it has a centralised config and remote install.

The only downside is it doesn't support older ms software like exchange 5, lotus notes, linux and as of yet no support for windows 7, the anti rootkit doesn't worl on 64bit windows.  It does require most MS OS's to be fully up to date (Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Pro x64 Edition SP1 etc). If these aren't a problem then I highly recommend downloading the trial and seeing what you think.

It is also very reasonably priced.
