Any cure to Malware headaches? A cure that is really reliable and does not cost a small fortune? Mostly importantly, a cure that can eradicate a hidden keystroke spyware?

Malwarebytes is one of the best spyware/malware removal tools I've found.
http://www.malwarebytes.org

Maybe also try a scan from TrendMicro online.
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

If that doesn't work, try CCleaner, Spybot, and maybe even Windows Defender.

If you use XP, just download it to the desktop and run it. It will ask to install the recovery console and you should do that in case you need to regain access to your drive.

In Vista, you need to run it as elevated administrator (right-click: run as administrator), same procedure.

It will scan for known rootkits and malware and normally all active malware will be deleted at the end of the scan. You can finish it up with a Malwarebytes' scan or a simple anti-virus scan to clean all other files which remain in the computer but aren't active

Yeah.  Seriously.  Get a Mac.

There are NO total solutions to malware problems in Windows.  And having too many active anti-malware products on your system has its own side effects.

The products recommended above are all good, but not perfect.

Most infections come through Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer is somewhat sandboxed in Vista/7 using integrity levels.  Upgrading to one of these operating systems and leaving UAC on would be start.

Otherwise, you can try a virtualized web browser in a sandbox if you are running the 32-bit version of XP here:

The one you would download would be Firefox - HP Virtual Browser Edition.  You don't need a HP computer to run this virtualized browser however.
