Browse All TopicsHi everyone, Ive been reading through your solutions for anti viruses for small businesses and many people are suggesting Symantec 10 (many are saying that 10 is not that good) and also recommending mcafee total security.
The two major concerns for our small company is 1) There are advanced settings so our programmers can turn settings on/off and open ports
2) its not a resource hog
3) Price
Right now it seems we are leaning toward changing from Norton to Bitdefender.
I made a little spreadsheet showing the different costs for each anti virus per 25 licenses.
Would it be a big mistake to change to bit defender?
thanks so much!
ps. I can not find a price for mcafee total security for 25 pcs

Symantec is still my preference to address security in any sized environment, but if you're looking for a comparable solution that doesn't consume resources to affect local client performance, I would consider the Sophos AV solution (http://www.sophos.com/pro ducts/smal l-business /).
All of my McAfee experiences end in frustration with poor performance on the workstations and servers.
Just my thought...
