How to disable the startup Quick Scan in Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.1 or later?

No scans there. I right-clicked the server and chose "Client Administrator Only Options" and unchecked 'Run Start Up Scan When User Logs On".
We'll see if this helps.... I'll give it a day or two as I don't know how this propogates out once I've made a change on the server.
I saw nothing under "startup scans" or "sheduled scans".

you did right, but that will disable quick scan for all the clients
did you want to do that for all the clients or just for the server?
if for all the clients, then it will work
if only for server, yu can edit the registry this way
To disable the startup Quick Scan on a server
In the Windows Registry Editor, go to the following key:
HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software
In the right pane, double-click the StartupScansEnabled value.
In the Value data box, press Backspace, and then type 0
Click OK.
Exit the Windows Registry Editor.

Open up Symantec Anti-Virus and check under startup scans and scheduled scans. If there are any there delete them. Don't worry about the options to create and new scan.
