I noticed a few places on the internet that say that nonav.exe itself installs a virus. I just want to be sure. I am running this over a network to remove about a hundred symantec corporate Ed. 8.0 clients...and I dont want to get fired for screwing up that many computers.

I'm sorry but I think I should deserve some points here, because the author has asked for "Nonav.exe" specifically since it's used to remove corrupted SAV 10/9/8. And my comment contains the correct download link.
If there are more than one correct solution, how EE cleanup volunteer will treat them?

Hi,
There is now a new utility called CleanWipe that will uninstall SAVCE and new SEP. You can get one by opening support case at mysupport.symantec.com. For SAVCE 8.0 you can use NoNAV if you have (also from Symantec tech. support).
You can try to uninstall SAVCE from Add/Remove programs (the default password for uninstall is symantec).
Best regards,
Vladimir
