When you install Worry Free, at a certain step, it ask you what service account information you wish to use. This might be where it had a glitch. But your message is quiet specific about >dependencies> So I would start by looking at those dependent services and see the login information and make sure everything is homogene.
If it,s not solving the issue, it might be caused by the start up sequence in the services.
Sorry to be so long in getting back...too many cranky servers. The "Trend Micro Unauthorized Change Prevention Service" shows the dependency on the following three services starting.
tmaclmon
tmcomm
tme
These
One thing I recall now about this particular installation was I had the evaluation version installed and then licensed it. Would the evaluation version install more than I licensed for and be part of the problem>
Thanks
Hi,
These are not "services" actualy, they are system components (drivers more precisely) required by the system (or service) to run.
tmactmon, tmevtmgr & tmcomm are located in the folder C:\Windows\System32\driver
The driver can be started or stopped from Services in the Control Panel or by other programs. The program is not visible. It is a Verisign signed file. The file has a digital Signature. they are not Windows system files.
I suggest that you verify the logon TAB and make sure that you're using the Local System Account to start this service and unchecked the "Allow service to intereact with desktop"
Also, questions :
Yeah it is set to auto-start by default on my installtion that was upgraded from TMAV 3x. When I try to manually start it it comes up with the "Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start." Looking at the dependencies, it shows that it depends on tmcomm and tmevtmgr but as pointed out above those are drivers. Trend-Micro should really do something about this as my SBS monitor constantly shows it as an error even thought it might be by design. Anthony Maw, Vancouver, Canada, www.anthonymaw.com

I have the same problem and found the above link.
An additional note to this issue. I found this to happen on all the SBS 2003 R2 servers where I install the evaluation first and added their license later.
I used the article above on two and it fixed them, but on 5 others I ultimately uninstalled completely and reinstalled entering the activation key on installation and had no more issues. Don't konw if it was the sequence or the reinstall factor.. ?

Is this appeared out of the sudden or when you tried to install/deploy your protection ?
HAve you tried to change the account/password in the services ? Same thing for all the dependencies in the services.
