Oulook freezes frequently and displays two Not Responding tasks in Task Manager

I am running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Home with Service pack 2.  I ran HiJack this, too, because something else other than Outlook could be in the problem.  The computer has 1 GB RAM, maximum allowed for motherboard.  The computer frequently stalls.  The only way found to make Outlook work is to reboot, but his doesn't always help.
