Log in to my internet bank during virus outbreak!

I need to log in to my internet bank at once to pay bills that are due. The problem is that my laptop is infected with virut/sality and other viruses. However, I don't have time to wait to reinstall everything before I use my internet bank.

How big is the risk I take if I log in to my internet bank while my laptop is still infected?
I use IE6 on Windows XP Pro SP2, and have Kaspersky anti-virus.
