My Machine is running very slow and showing most of the time CPU usages 100%. How to fix?

for the llast 1 week my IBM Laptop is running very slowlike if i want to open one wep page it takes 3-5 min. Without running any application the CPU usage shows 80-100%. I have CA Virus scanner and Malware software also. I have around 7 GB free space in my system. Most of the time i am using my laptop to watch kids program and movies. I didn't install any software recently.  please let me know how to fix this issue?
