Ms dos boot Disk Menu with network drivers
Hi folks,
I'll try to explain my problem with the best I can. First, My needs is very simple, I need a boot disk with a decent menu who gave me the choice of choosing which network card I wanna boot with. For example, I have 2 choice in my menu: One is for my thinkpad t21 and the other for my other is a Dell c640 and I can add more after that. The driver for the network card is not the same so I would like to have a menu to avoid to have a boot disk for each laptop and each pcs. Well I know that I must use a cd bootable, but its not a big deal. I just want something to guide me to the right direction.
Regards,
Camo

The best way to have choices is to place them in an autoexec.bat. How to do it depends on how you do drivers, TSRs, and the OS version capabilities.
If you can run the nic all the time it is simpler to leave the driver code in config.sys whether used or not. If your dos needs networking, then you may need to load networking tools in autoexec, and load them high to get some decent ram available. Worst case is having autoexec reload the other choice by bringing in the desired copy of a config and autoexec and rebooting.

This site is all about this and does all the work for you and you dont even have to put a menu to choose your nick it will autodetect the nic EVEN IN DOS.

Its a pretty sweet system and should do everything you want.

I have not used his autodetection feature but I did try out the disks that it makes and it works great and is pretty easy to setup.
