internet explorer 7 certificate errors

In IE 7, my outlook web access and another website of mine gives a certificate error.  It is something about "not issued by a trusted certificate authority".

I understand the workaround is to install the certificate, but this was not an issue in ie6.

I let windows 2003 create its own certificate.  is that the reason b/c i didn't use verisign or one of those?

uh, ok, so what is a proper certificate?  i followed microsoft's instructions for creating a certificate.
thanks but i already have certificates that are working.  i believe the issue is that if you issue your own certificate instead of getting one from a third party, ie 7 puts up this error.

well, these two sites are only for employees so i'll just instruct them to disregard the error i don't believe its worth the cost for sites for employees.

set below headers parameter in the response to resolve this issue,

aResponse.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel");
aResponse.setHeader("Pragma", "public");
aResponse.setHeader("Cache-Control", "max-age=0");
aResponse.addHeader("content-disposition", "attachment;filename=\"" + "myexcel.xls" + "\"");
