Is there a way to embed fonts so it will be displayed on a browser even if they don't have that font installed.
Is there a way to embed fonts so your choosen font will be displayed on a users browser even if they don't have that font installed.
I have downloaded a font (MISTRAL FONT) & i added in stylesheet, displaying that font offline bcoz its installed in my machine but not to dofferent machine where this font in not installed/.....
is there any way where we can help this out.......... bcoz this problem makes a designer in a crucial position where he cannot choose his desired choice of font in user browser.
as i m using this forum first time and i heard its really worth having ....so i m hoping that my problem get solved...........

Wow. What a lot of politics over this issue (judging by the contents of the links above). One embedded-font solution free from Microshaft (naturally only works on IE) and one cross-browser solution that only exists bundled with other stuff you don't need, probably costing squillions (as it's apparently now aimed at the WebTV market).
Unless you particularly like any of the few downloadable fonts hosted at http://www.truedoc.com you're pretty much stuffed.
If you do find either (a) another website hosting .PFR fonts, or (b) a second-hand copy of the now-unsupported WebFonts Wizard software for creating them - LET ME KNOW! I've become mildly fascinated by the possibilities of this format...
