Best payment options for shareware July 2004

I'm looking for solid recommendations on payment mechanisms for a commercial app (SRP $20 US). Presently, I'm planning on using PayPal and Clickbank, both of which have drawbacks. I want:
--Processing for all countries (ok, not North Korea), but especially US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
--I need one custom bit of info (Reg Code generated by my app).
--Looks good, trustworthy.
--Low upfront costs.
--Affiliate tracking a definite plus.

I'm looking for "I used x for 2 years and this is their pros and cons" rather than "I heard Y is good"

I will apportion out as many points as it takes to get a good bunch of recommendations.

http://www.globalauctioncenter.com/ccprocessing.htm <---- this contains the details about the merchants like if they are international or limited to some countries aswell as listing some of the main features hope it helps you ..
imnajam, excellent stuff! I'll digest this in the next few days. 2checkout looks a lot like clickbank - any connection?
I personally don't think if there is any connection between 2checkoutand in clickbank [REMEMBER IT'S A PERSONAL THOUGHT]
Thanks for the appreciation....
read the review about clickbank..

http://www.merchantaccountforum.com/clickbankreview.html

and once again it doesn't looks like that there is a connection between these two companies.... they are different companies......!!!
hi imnajam,

I read the article at merchanaccoutsforum and it definitely gave me pause. BUT! how impartial is the author and when was it written? Are you using 2CO?
Hello thePrisoner,

I am afraid to say that I am unable to find the date of that article but I have emailed them for it..if I get reply from them I will post it on as soon as possible.
I am not personally using it but a friend of mine looks very satisfied with it.

good luck(Y)

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the FUD on that site.

I've been using Paypal for both personal (buying) and business (selling) for a few years now with not problems. Have had 1 dispute by a customer trying to rip me off, PayPal looked at the facts and did the right thing.
may be he forgets to accept comments as answer I just checked and found that his last question was posted on 08/08/2004

means he is coming to E.E and do check the stuff....

anyways,if he don't respond than the points should be splitted as per rule!
Venabili - that's fine
Venabili - that's fine
thePrisoner, what's fine? why don't you accept the comment as answer? or why don't you split points yourself? what's wrong in it?
