ASPX vs HTML and Google Page Ranking

I recently had a user login portal feature with a custom ecommerce shopping cart installed in our web-site. The original page was an html (http://www.accessyourbiz.com/p_profess_edition.html) and it has a google rating of 4/10. The page that replaced this page is an aspx page (http://www.accessyourbiz.com/p_profess_edition.aspx) and it has a google rating of 0/10. The aspx page appears to have the same keywords and stuff, is this something that will improve over time (it has been about 1 month since it was done)? Can anyone explain to me what could have happened so I can correct it. Thank you.

Greetings AccessYourBiz_Com,

Google rating? You mean Page rank? Page rank is calculated by the number of incoming links to your site. Maybe you need to get these incoming links to your new page

Yes I mean Google Page Rank. I have all of the same links setup...so I am not sure exactly what you mean.

Thank you for the posting.
You need to get the websites that link to your old page to change their links to your new page address
Or if the only links to that page are your own pages, it will just take a little time for google to adjust
How are you measuring the PageRank?  If you are using the Google toolbar, remember that the PageRank listed there is updated very infrequently (several months pass between updates) and it is NOT even the same as the PageRank used as part (among many other factors) of Google's overall ranking scheme.  If you are using the toolbar, the fact that the PageRank comes up as 0 probably reflects the fact that the page is new since the last toolbar PR update.

Even so, you don't want to get too hung up on PageRank in general (and toolbar PageRank isn't even worth thinking about).  As noted, it is just one of many factors.

One other small point: you are better off using hypens in your URL's than underscores.  A URL like www.domain.com/one-two-three.aspx is better from an SEO perspective than www.domain.com/one_two_three.aspx.  You can find an excellent explanation and demonstration of this here: www.seo-blog.com/keywords-in-urls.php.  It also provides an analysis about how Yahoo and MSN deal with keywords in your domain/url.  See also www.seo-blog.com/url-update.php for an update of the first article.
Thank you very much for all comments.

humenjuk, since the google toobar is updated so infrequently, how can I find out how Google is ranking the page now?

Steggs, how long do you think it would take for google to adjust?

Thank you humenjuk for the answer, I think you covered my question pretty well. I was hoping to ask you something else related to this question. If you don't know I will still give you credit.

Since the new pages, I noticed the "Number of Page Requests" from our Go Daddy statistics drop almost in half (15k vs 8k). Whereas the "Number of Requests" has stayed about the same. Do you know what this means.?
GoDaddy tends to do things a little differently than most when it comes to hosting.  I use them for domain registration, but I don't have anything hosted with them, so I don't really know how their log files / traffic stats work precisely.  However, much as the case with counting 'hits', pageview counts tend to fluctuate considerably depending on design choices and factors.  Often an upgraded page/site will result in reduced 'pageview' counts that do not represent reduced actual traffic.  'Unique visitors' and 'time spent' are much more relevant IMHO.

Keep in mind that without seeing/understanding more of your stats, this is speculative.  However, if you're interested, you can read more about the concept here - www.evhead.com/2006/08/pageviews-are-obsolete.asp.
