Increasing Page Rank
Hello, I wonder if I could send annonymous hits to a home page to increase it's page rank. Ideal example is to have thousands of hits sent to the page but this don't have to be real visitors...some kind of code/tool that could send imaginary visitors to the page and the page will pick it up as visitors so this way the rank will increase.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like fraud.

why would it be...it's to show a high page rank on google's page rank indicator...I don't think there is profit you can make from this....just showing it's high ranked...right?

Reliable? You want 'reliable' information about a closely held trade secret of Google? Not asking much, are you?
In general, though, there are lots of great sites out there that discuss all things SEO. Search Engine Optimization is some serious vudoo and is in some ways an arms race between people like this question's author who is looking for an unearned page rank (which is wrong whether it's fraud or not,) and the search engine comanies who want to deliver truly relevant search results.

I wanted some reasonable insight into the Page Rank, not the bloody algorithm itself :) I know that a lot of people post, how shall we say it, utter and complete crap in re Page Rank.

Anonymous hits does NOTHING for page rank. If you are talking google, it is backlinks from sites that google ranks high. They have already figured out people trying to up their own ante, and they have got you beat LONG before you thought of it. Backlinks from sites that google has already ranked HIGH -- that is the ONLY - ONLY - ONLY thing that google respects.

go to a site such as www.text-link-ads.com
or link adage

on TLA go to buy related premium links
I bought 2 last month and my Pagerank jumped from 0 to 5 last week on the update.
You may not see a PR change now for a few months now as the PR update has just happened.
