DW won't let you print code in color.  Annoying, isn't it?

I don't understand the second part of your question...

Thanks Jason, thought I had not missed anything in the config section. Any work around on the colour printing?

What kind of code is it? HTML, PHP, ASP, or what?

If it is in plain old HTML, the only thing I can think of is to do a screen capture (use alt-PrintScreen in Windows and then crop in Fireworks) and print out the bitmap screen capture. You'd have to scroll and do multiple screen caps to get everything on the page since only portions of it are visible at a time, and then assemble them in a graphics program. Pain in the butt, but if you're desperate it would work.
LOL.

I didn't think of that.  It would work...slowly...but it would work.

If you bought Studio 8 you also get the latest version of Home Site+ which DOES print in color.

I'm learning php so that is the main code I was hoping to be able to print to paper.  Not studio, just Dreamweaver 8 but I'll have a look at Home Site but it's just more expense.

Don't bother buying Homesite if you didn't purchase Studio 8.  There are good, free, code editors out there that will let you print in color.  A search here for free code editors or on Google will probably get you what you want.
Hi jezella

Onw workround is Professional note pad. It costs about 15$ and supports colour coding... and lests you print it.

May I thank all for the help on this matter.  Vallenwood seems to have the problem of DW's problem non-colour sorted where the above seems to work fine.

Many Thanks

Ashley
