Wierd Font Issue...
We are in the process of creating an animation using the "Parchment" font ( http://www.wtv-zone.com/captainraider/font/christmas/font/ ), and ran into a kink...wherever a capital letter is used, when we test the animation, they get filled in with the color of the font. Like it doesn't like having hollow areas in the caps...any thoughts?

I would guess that there is a slight gap (error) inside the vectors of the font, you could either edit it (using something like Fontographer), or use an alernative typeface.

Hmm...that's a bummer...
Maybe I'll just have to import it as an image. Also, if I check "Use Device Fonts", then some of the text is smaller, but the same font, and looks fine...

Thanks for helping, guys! I tried the dynamic text box, and it was great, except that the text was pixelated, not crisp like a vector should be. It's crisp as static text, 'cept for the above mentioned problem...
I've uploaded the file at http://www.wisdomwords.org/EE.fla
If you look, the background (capital X) is crisp, but filled in. The top text line is fine (no caps). Bottom line is dynamic, so no filling in, but not crisp. If I change it to static, it's crisp, but filled in...see?
Thanks for helping!

Yeah, pretty nice...
Thanks for the tips...
Also, it only does the filling when I test the movie, not just in layout mode (in case that wasn't taken for granted)...
And when I use dynamic AND embed the character font outlines, it does the same as static; must have something to do with embedding the character outlines...does that help?

With nothing better to suggest, I would have to agree with fixitben - that maybe the font support has been improved with MX 2004. However, I still feel that there may be a glitch withing the design of the font too.

yeah, but then eliminates things like easily scaling the font, or font-only properties... :-(
Thanks for trying!
