I'm quite experienced with asp.net, and quite bored with developing in it too. &nbsp;I'm just expanding my options and looking at PHP as an option. &nbsp;My coworker swears by it! &nbsp;I'm really looking for someone to tell me something like:<br />

&quot;You can't possibly do 'this' in asp.net as you can in PHP&quot;<br />

or..worse<br />

&quot;I haven't found a way to do 'that' in PHP as easy as you can in asp.net&quot;

Hello,  I'm looking for well-formed opinions on people who have had a chance to work with ASP.net and PHP.  Give me some good arguing points as to why PHP is "better" than ASP.net.  I'm comparing the two technologies, and I'm getting rather bored with the one that has to do with Microsoft.


PHP vs. ASP.Net

PHP is a widely-used server-side scripting language especially suited for web development, powering tens of millions of sites from Facebook to personal WordPress blogs. PHP is often paired with the MySQL relational database, but includes support for most other mainstream databases. By utilizing different Server APIs, PHP can work on many different web servers as a server-side scripting language.
