PHP vs. ASP.Net

Hello,  I'm looking for well-formed opinions on people who have had a chance to work with ASP.net and PHP.  Give me some good arguing points as to why PHP is "better" than ASP.net.  I'm comparing the two technologies, and I'm getting rather bored with the one that has to do with Microsoft.

What are you trying to do?

Are you thinking about becomming a developer and want to know which language to choose?  VOLUMES

I'm quite experienced with asp.net, and quite bored with developing in it too.  I'm just expanding my options and looking at PHP as an option.  My coworker swears by it!  I'm really looking for someone to tell me something like:

"You can't possibly do 'this' in asp.net as you can in PHP"

or..worse

"I haven't found a way to do 'that' in PHP as easy as you can in asp.net"
