Thanx for the pts. I'm sure the vendor is just trying to protect their investment, but in my opinion, unless the vendor is also the bank issuing the credit cards (i.e. the source of the $), they're just a pass through between organizations and their needing the president's home address is intrusive.

Since you haven't gotten any response, here's mine. Corybryant is the most knowledgeable in this forum on this issue, so you may want his response. There shouldn't be any difference in the processing for profit vs. non-profit. Basically, you need a) merchant services which is a 3rd party firm that transfers funds between the credit card banks and your own (for a cut of the dough) and b) a web site that passes the appropriate (and secure) information to them. Many non-profits don't have a lot of time (or staff) to develop and maintain such a system so I would highly recommend you use a service provider that can do both for you. Personally, I use Nova Systems for my business which is a 3rd party provider to Costco. Your bank probably outsources to some 3rd party firm and although they probably won't be the cheapest they're a good source to recommend different companies. Any good size company that provides merchant services will probably also offer web transaction services, too. When you're shopping be sure to look for hidden charges (like a fee for providing a monthly statement). Also, many businesses don't take AmEx because their fees are higher than visa/mastercard.
Got to do it on the cheap? Use PayPal. A bigger bite of the dough but a piece of cake to set up.
Is that what you want to know?
