Can you elaborate, please, on how to be "fairly bold to convey the navigation" ??
What about having a subtle "glow" to the images?
And how might I acheive such an effect?

The images you see are what I am using for navigation (the service bell, the close-up of the coins, the lightbulb, the customer service girl) but I don't think this is being clearly communicated to the user.
I would like some ideas as to how I can inidicate that these images are to be used for navigation.
Thank you,
Tom

Not recommended... ;-)
You could put the word 'Navigation' over the images, or a descriptor such as: "Click on the images to navigate" etc.
I'd recommend finding new images, or making them yourself. If you're embarking on a career as a web designer, you don't want to use pilfered images, and you can't expect anyone to hire you if your images look crappy.

First I would suggest higher quality images, the ones on this page are far too low of resolution.
Since your navigation method is not of a common layout strategy (ie. horizontal top/bottom, vertical side) you going to need to be fairly bold to convey the navigation. I would suggest adding some sort of roll over effect (image swap or border color change) along with adding some text overlays on top of the images so visitors know where they are going. For instance I had no clue what the lightbulb would have meant.
