Pretty simple. If you don't need the posts at all, you can just edit the template not to show your posts, categories links etc. I mean it should have the tags related to pages not posts, so no linking to the posts is done through the page.
/ Pages#Usi ng_a_Page_ as_the_Fro nt_Page_.2 8version_2 .1.2B_only .29 / Pages#Usi ng_a_Page_ as_the_Fro nt_Page_wi th_Wordpre ss_version s_prior_to _v2.1
Also, you can create a page(s) and then go to the dashboard for the wordpress and then Go to Options>>Reading and in Reading Options select the option "A static page (select below)" instead of "Your latest posts" (that is already selected by wordpress as the the default option) from the two options there.
Also you can select the page of your choice from the page(s) drop down list there.
I used the same technique on www.mlccorp.com and www.chakwal.wordpress.com.
(See and example of how much customizable it is in the first site)
Note: One more thing, this feature in introduced in the latest versions of wordpress i.e after version 2.1. So any version i.e v 2.1.x of wordpress supports this feature.
Read the references here at
1. Using a Page as the Front Page (version 2.1+ only)
