although these are not MU plugins, i can hopefully get something out of these. thanks. maybe the authors of these plugins will create these for wordpress MU.

I Need a Profile Plugin for Wordpress MU (WPMU)
I need a plugin for a my Wordpress MU, (WPMU), blog. This is the one for Multi User.
I am looking for a way to add a profile picture, and use that where I want to, and then I want an extended profile where I can have things like company name, address, city, state, website, description, etc.
BuddyPress, http://buddypress.org, offers something almost perfect for this, however, it doesn't work quite right. First you need to install core files, which screw up everything, only showing 1 blog item from my blog page in my theme. I do not want to use their theme. Also, photo/profile pic uploads don't really work. sometimes they do, sometimes not. and they have to be a minimal upload size.
I wish that would work for me, because its sooo close.
Does anyone know of another one? Point me in the direction. I am learning PHP and how to work with wordpress and its plugins, so i can try to hack the code if necessary. This should be able to work like a social site profile.
