Wordpress wp-cache

Hi experts,

Here is the code I trying to use to store data into wordpress cache system.
It is not working.... what's wrong

wp_cache_add('test', time(), 'Israel7', 600);
echo time().'//'.wp_cache_get('test', 'Israel7');
