Browse All TopicsSince the wordpress version change from 2.8 on, there have been issues with links in the admin area. Seems to be affecting a lot of plugin developers and users, but no direct answers on correcting the issue. My issue is not related to the wp-admin menu, it's the links that are on the admin content pages of the plugin. When clicking them, the "You do not have sufficient permissions..." message appears and you are unable to view that content page.
I realize that this is a security/permission problem, but have been unable to find a solution on those inner pages for the links to work. I both have the user capabilities settings and the admin_menu set correctly which work fine. It was brought up at one point that the internal plugin pages need to be registered, but found no documentation on how that would be done for the content pages that are not to be listed on the menu.
For example, you click on the main menu to go to plugin x's admin page, then there is a link at the top of that page (not directly in the main menu) that allows you to click on help and read some useful info on the plugin. That help link is the one that is showing the permission error.
Many developers have had this issue and found ways to solve them, but none have posted on the net their solutions. If anyone here could help with this issue for me, I think this would be a great place for that information to be available since plugins are such a valuable part of wordpress.
