activex/applet to make browser blink in taskbar

i have made a chat application using asp.net, c# and ajax

whenever a new message arrives, i wish to blink the browser tab in taskbar blink (the orange blink in windows XP?)

i am aware that this is not possible using only javascript or html... which is why i am resorting to ActiveX and/or Applets

i am aware of the security risks involved... but i am ok with that


if there are any ready packages available then that will be great

it would... but that is just javascript code to either change the title or bring focus to the window


i simply want the browser tab to blink in the taskbar

Try it.
It changes the title in the task bar too! - it is the best you can do and it works very well

Changing the text in the task bar from nothing to something and back again in a rhythmic fashion makes it look like it is blinking.

Take what you can get for free without creating activeXs or plugins. If you want the taskbar to actually blink, I gave you the code you need to put in the activex
