There are some pre-requisites that need to be completed on the client machine before installing the Exchange System Manager on a workstation otherwise you will get endless error and have to restart the setup each time you solve one issue. insert the CD into the box that you want to install it on.
run the setup and if it is a vista or xp machine the only option will be to install the admin tools.
the value on the left will be install leave it as is. click next and accept the defaults from that point on.
you need the exchange cd for this they cant be downloaded. i would recommend that if your exchange is running sp2, make sure that you install exchange sp2 on the admin machine too.
that should do the trick.
