I haven't found the built-in FTP option in either the Camera Management software nor the Camera Station software. I'm probably looking in the wrong place. Can you direct me?
Thanks

Browse All TopicsWe have an Axis 207MW network camera. I've installed it and it works. I can set it to record using motion detection, but I would like to set it up for time lapse photography also. I don't see in the supplied software any easy way to do this, but perhaps I'm missing something.
Failing that, can I capture from the video stream it produces?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

tsolecki >>>Thanks for the prompt response. I'm not seeing "Event Server" in the Setup. I'm assuming you mean the camera's own setup.
I've attached a screenshot of what I see.
Day 2 : Customer Services
When you click upload images, you will select the upload type and click on FTP. There you will create your FTP server
tsolecki >>> OK, it didn't exactly work like this, but close enough, and I was able to set up the camera so that when I trigger an event, it will start uploading images to the FTP server. I installed FileZilla on my PC to be the FTP server.
I've been able to load images for the last several weeks while the project was underway.

The simplest way to do this is to use the built in FTP option. Just send an image every x seconds to your FTP server.
After a specified time, you will have a bunch of single frame images in a directory.
Download the folder to a local drive then simply stitch them together using imovie or moviemaker, or some other flavor of movie editing software.
