Browse All TopicsI uninstalled Picasa a while ago, because I could never tame the beast. But, now I really need to use it. So, here's my question:
Is there any way to set Picasa so that it does not begin to index all one's photos IMMEDIATELY on install.
If not... what do I have to do to stop it once it DOES begin... and set it to NEVER, EVER index at all.
Please if you could boil it down to Keystroke-level instruction I would REALLY appreciate it!
(

2nd alt+q,v

because the program REALLY lost me before.
THANKS!!! X 10,000,000,

Picasa probably don't give you the option to select folders to scan at installation.
Once installed, Picasa automatically scans your home directory by default.
You can change what directories get scanned. To do this, open picasa,
go to File > Add folders to picasa
in the Folder manager dialogue box that pops up,
From the left list, select the drive you dont want picasa to scan,
then in the right, click the radio button with the red cross saying ' remove from picasa'
picasa won't scan that drive again.
