You can remove folders that you have added to Photo Gallery at any time, but you can't remove the folders that are in Photo Gallery by default.

Browse All TopicsHi,
I keep all of my photos, screenshots, and clip art in the "Pictures' folder on my PC which is where Windows Photo Gallery (WPG) points to for its gallery management. I would like to EXCLUDE certain folders from showing up in WPG. I did a search and found the link below;
http://windowshelp.microso
...which says to simply "right-click" on the folder from within WPG and select "Remove from Gallery". That WOULD be awesome, but when I right-click as the instructions say, an option does not come up for me to "Remove from Gallery". Only RENAME and DELETE are remotely related, and each of those choices affect the actual folder on the C Drive and not just the WPG overlay.
Any suggestions as to what I might be able to do? I have considered just keeping photos I don't want to show up in WPG in another folder besides "Pictures", but I'd rather not take that step until I've exhausted the WPG option.
Thanks
G

Hi gastondef,
It looks like the "Remove from Gallery" option does not appear for the folders that're included by default in the Photo Gallery. The option appears correctly for any other custom folder one may have added to the gallery.
