Export from iPhoto, retaining structure: Events, Albums, Library, Photos. Quick answer

How can I export from iPhoto, retaining structure so it can be accesses with Picasa or other Windows software.
Ideally it should also work as a backup, though I am only interested in the latest version of pictures.
(I think "Events" are folders Albums would be the same as labels/albums in Picasa. You could imagine they became keywords that could be converted to labels.)
