PDF to DJVU converter for windows?

Is there a PDF to DJVU converter for windows? I have Acrobat 6 and DJVU Editor Pro 4 installed. I can only find a command line UNIX one on the net. I know I could Ghostscript a PDF and then make a DJVU from the images, but need something that does it in one go, as I want to batch hundreds of PDFs.

I assume you're familiar about the djvudigital tool (http://djvulibre.djvuzone.org/doc/man/djvudigital.html) when you bring up ghostscript.

Other than that, the Enterprise edition from LizardTech (http://www.lizardtech.com/products/doc/enterprise.php) allows batch conversion of PDF to DjVu. Beyond that, I am not aware of anything - remember how long it took to get the PDF format opened up enough to have outside development? And DjVu is a lot newer.

Presumably you could use the virtual printer driver in the Pro edition from LizardTech to "print" your PDFs to DjVu format? Haven't tried that route.

Hi, I got the PDFs sorted. But, when I make a DJVU from the Virtual Printer, such as from Word, the output file is huge (about 25 meg) compared to making it from images in Editor Pro where it is about 300k. On the virtual printer there are a ton of options (http://www.grul.net/dj.gif), what are the optimal settings--so that the file size will be low, around 300k? I have been messing on with them but keep getting bad results. Plus, I select Create Searchable Text but the resultant file is not searchable...

Sorry! I had about 2 weeks of off and on power outages with Hurricane Wilma and still have internet outages from day to day - must have missed the last notif in the backlog of messages.

I haven't really used the virtual printer driver, so I don't have a lot of comments for you. But, here's some suggestions. If you are printing from Word, are you printing mostly B&W documents? If so, you may want to drop your foreground colors considerably (256 is the default for color documents). Also, values of background quality lower than 75 should be used when the background of the source document is simply black and white.

Beyond that, I am afraid I can't say... and don't know about the searchable text issue. Have you tried contacting LizardTech for support?
