Converting pdf forms to typeable forms

I am trying to convert existing pdf forms into interactive/fillable/typeable forms.  Adobe professoional 8 does not convert the forms 100%.  It does not convert checkboxes, for example.  Can anyone give me some suggestions to better convert these forms?

If you've gotten that far, then you're doing well.  Unfortunately, you will need to create the checkboxes (and radio buttons, if you have them) yourself.

I assume you're using the LiveCycle Designer.  If you will be using radio buttons, look up "Radio Button Group" in the online help in there and you'll see how to group them together so that only one will be on at a time.  Of course, checkboxes don't need that treatment.  (If you're not going to use radio buttons, sorry, but that tidbit would have saved you a lot of pain if you were.  :)  )

Draw one nice one, then copy and paste that as many times as you need it.

Yes, I am using the LiveCycle.  I drawed the checkboxes myself for 2 forms and stopped.  There are 200 forms and I don't think I want to go through through the checkboxes on all of them.  So, I wonder if there is a better way to get this done.
