Question

Split a 1 page pdf file into 2 one page pdf files

Asked by: mrwhipple

I have a large PDF file (one page) that I need to split right down the middle and output two pdf files (one page each).  I need to batch this process on about 10,000 pdf files, splitting them in the same location on each.  Photoshop is capable of doing this, however I loose quality on the pdf and a text layer that is in the PDF.  I have acrobat 6 standard which will allow me to crop the file twice and "save as" resulting in exactly what I need to do, but cannot figure out how to batch this.  If I get my hands on Acrobat 7 Pro, is this possible?  If so, how?  Any help is much appeciated.

Thanks for the link, however this plug-in requires that I have pages (or some other indicator) within my PDF document.  All of the files I need to manipulate are one page files that need split vertically down the middle.  I was able to do figure this out by using Acrobat 8 Pro and set up a crop batch where I set the  margins to crop it down the middle where I need it.  In order to do it this way I have to run two batches against each file (one for the left side, one for the right).  There may be something out there that's better but this is free and will work with my deadline.
