Receive error when printing to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 standard. The error message states:
Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files.
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Applicat
Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?
I ran the repair mode multiple times and nothing works. Can anyone tell me what this means and how I can resolve this?

I have noticed you only recently started answering question so I thought it may help you and it may be more helpful to the asker if you explain your reasoning behind your suggestion and why you think this is relevant to the solution.
The problem in this case has nothing to do with Reader, joboptions do not figure in Reader only in Standard or Pro. The asker also states that Acrobat 8.0 is installed.
Whilst I agree that upgrading to latest version does not hurt (in this case 8.1.1) it is also important to address the issue in a clear and concise way.
katredrum, did you have a look at the joboptions in Distiller? If so can you update us on the status?

Ok so we can exclude custom job.options from the equation. It is possible that a different user with different access rights has custom jobotions which you cannot access with your permissions.
The next step is to have a look at the conversion options in Acrobat. Go to Edit|Preferences and select "Convert to PDF", choose MS Office from the left panel and edit the settings, select 'Standard' from the top dropdown and 'None' from security.
OkK out from here and apply settings as you exit. Close and restart Acrobat.

I suspect you have some job options specified which are not longer saved on the system.
Open Adobe Acrobat Distiller from the Start Menu and go to Settings => Remove Settings and check whether there is an entry with this ersonation Dynamic False settings
