Adobe Reader 9 will not install - Error message
I tried to upgrade to Adobe Reader 9 from the Adobe website. After most of it has downloaded I get the message: "Can't retrieve essential parameter! (115229.305.1023)" I must continue (which does nothing) or say yes and Adobe puts most of the install on my desktop. It freezes at 93.3% of complete. It always gives the same exact percentage. Others on the net are having the same problem and have not found a solution. There is nothing on the Adobe knowledgebase regarding this. I tried the install from SafeMode but with the same exact results. Anyone have a clue?

dont run it directly from the website, instead download the full exe file and save it to your hard disk and then run the installer from the local system.
