Thanks for the info captainreiss, you were correct there was a java and ms application that needed to be adde to my http proxy. It worked fine after making those changes. Have a great day!

Browse All TopicsOur Adobe Acrobat will not allow updating using Check for Updates. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do you resolve it? Our systems are running Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Acrobat 8.1.3 or 8.1.4.
The exact message is as follows:
The following updates could not be downloaded. Select an update to see more information.
When I click on the update in this case Adobe Acrobat 8.1.5 (CPSID_49013) it then says
Internal error. Could not download the requested file.
Our internet connection is working fine as well.
I appreciate any help you can provide.

in 99% of all issues this is caused by InternetSecurity or Firewall software. In some cases a too strictly configured hardware firewall...
Try temporarily disabling your IS software and test again.
