The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Attempt to patch Adobe Pro 9.0.0  with AcroProExUpd910_all_incr.mspfails; need hlp

Asked by bradber in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop

Hi Experts,

I am trying to catch up on patching Adobe 9.0.0. I know that the patched must be applied in sequence so I am starting with AcroProExUpd910_all_incr.msp. The job is failing with an error that says  "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service becasue the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer, and that you have the correct upgrade patch.

Apparently I do not have the correct upgrade patch but I don't know how to find the one that I need.

I turned on logging during the installation and the results say:

Unknown\Absent: {AC76BA86-A550-0000-A550-7A8C40000911}

Apparently this refers to the patch that I need but I do not know how to determine which patch that refers to. Can someone please help me determine which patch is needed and where to obtain it?

Here is some additional info in case it is helpful:

Installed Acrobat: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe
    Version: 9.0.0.2008061200
    Creation Date: 2008/06/12
    Creation Time: 2:25:18 AM

Thanks for any help you can offer!
