Browse All TopicsI have a user that has Adobe reader 9 installed on his PC, but he needed the ability to edit .PDF documents so he was given Adobe 6.0 standard. As far as I can tell the file associations are set to Reader 9 to open .PDF's but there is a web application he uses and when he opens .PDF reports in the app it attempts to open them in Adobe standard 6. This sounds like I'll need to do a reghack, but would there be a registry setting in Adobe or I.E. to force all .PDF's opened from a web browser to open in Adobe reader 9? The users O.S. is Windows XP Pro.

in both, go to preferences and look for the Internet options, select 'Display in Browser' in Reader and untick in Acrobat 6.
