Adobe Pro 9 Toolbar Missing from IE 8

Hello,

I have an issue with one of my users that I cannot find a solution for.  Our institute was only supposed to have IE6 installed because of some apps that only worked on it.  But since she needed IE8 for something else we went ahead and installed it for her.  However, since installing we have lost the Adobe Pro 9 toolbar that used to be a part of IE.  I have searched the net for solutions but have been unable to find a solution.

So far I reinstalled Adobe Pro 9, did a repair of Adobe Pro 9, disabled and re-enabled the add-ons in IE, and ran all windows updates but nothing helped.  An interesting side note, I can see the Adobe Pro toolbar add-ons in Manage Add-ons within IE Options and they are enabled, but the toolbar does not show up.  Below is a list of what is showing in the IE add-ons for Adobe as well as system specs.  I would like to restore the toolbar so the user can convert web pages to PDFs, which the toolbar allows.  Thanks for any help you can provide!

OS: XP SP3
IE Version 8
Adobe Pro 9
Adobe Add-Ons currently enabled:
1. Adobe PDF Link Helper
2. Adobe PDF Conversion Toolbar Helper
3. SmartSelect Class

I had the similar issue,  however when i repaired the adobe version it worked. If possible can you update the adobe to last released patch, before repairing.

Does the toolbar appear in the context menu of 'View>toolbars'?

No, It does not appear in the context menu.  Unfortunately the user has left for the day and I cannot get into her office so I'll have to try again tomorrow.  I'll check to see about what Javier said and if anyone else has some ideas I would appreciate the help.  But captain, I do not see the toolbar in the context menu at all.
Javier, as far as I can tell your solution is correct.  However, group policy here has blocked my ability to enable Third Party Browser Extension so until my net team turns it on I am not positive.  They are working on it now and once I hear back I'll enable the function and will let you know what happens.  But from what I can tell you are on the right track.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner but my brother had a baby so I was out of the office for a few days.  Thanks for everyone's help and I'll respond soon with what happened.
