Can't save changed PDF to system i IFS folder
I'm using Acrobat XI Pro on Windows 8 Pro, have unchecked the "Enable Enhanced Security" and have turned off Windows Explorer preview option.
The scenario is this:
I open a PDF generated by a system i (AS/400 or i Series) application.
I place a dynamic java script stamp on the document and attempt to save.
I receive the following message:
"The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
I can't save the updated PDF or do a "save as". I get the same message in both cases. I can save the document to my windows desktop no problem.
I'm a domain administrator and "own" the IFS folder.... any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

Nothing is before QDLS.
The files are saved directly to windows system or access them via network path?
\\AS400\QDLS\PUBLIC\REPORT S
\\AS400\QDLS\PUBLIC\REPORT
ASKER
Okay - now I understand what you meant by full path... The REPORTS folder is shared so the path is \\AS400\REPORTS\etc.\etc.
Ok nice
Have you tried to copy the pdf as is, to desktop let's say, before placing the java script stamp, and then change it?

Normally I deserve the points, because my direction, as seen from the solution, was a permission-security matter
