Camtasia will not play video files

Asked by SandowSeer in Video Editing, General Multi-Media Software, Document Imaging

I have used Camtasia before on another XP2 machine without any troubles.

On this machine I cannot get it to play AVI video files. I import the file, drag it to the timeline, and nothing will play. When I open up an existing project that has an AVI file, it will not play it.

I have installed the codecs from TechSmith's site which allow you to play the AVI's in other applications such as Windows Media Player. This problem existed before and after I installed those codecs.Start Free Trial
