Another interesting product is FontAgent Pro.

One of the nicest features of this product, is the preview.
You can see the preview of your fonts playing, pausing or stopping it when you found what you are looking for. Also, the possibility to print a catalog of the fonts is aother nice things.

Willsherwood,
lities/Fon tViewer.ph p), The Font Thing (free, no recent updates: http://members.ozemail.com .au/~scef/ tft.html), Typograf (try for 30 days: http://www.neuber.com/typo graph/), X-Fonter (pay: http://www.blacksunsoftwar e.com/), and Extensis Suitcase for Windows (pay: http://www.extensis.com).
400 font files is not really a large amount for modern versions on Windows. Unlike previous versions of Windows, there's no actual limit in XP, although too many fonts will slow your system. I try to stay under 3-400 installed at any one time (from 8,000+ actual font files).
Some font managers you might look at include AMP Font Viewer (free: http://www.ampsoft.net/uti
My recommendation would be Typograf, unless you need the added control of Suitcase.
Cheers,
