Am preparing book for publication. I have text in Rich Text Format (before converting it using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro) into PDF Format.
I have the introductory pages with page number inserted using i, ii, iii, iv format. The first chapter is to start with the 1,2,3, format.
What is happening: the first page of the first chapter (which should appear as 1) is appearing as page xxi. The introductory pages in fact end on the previous page which is xx. So it is continuing on for a page into the Chapter in the i,ii,iii, format. Page two of the Chapter displays correctly as 2 (as does all subsequent pages).
How do I change the xxi into 1 without messing up everything. have spent hours at this without success.
