mstt31c434 is what the properties are in Adobe.  It is a true type font alteration

TrueType fonts may display with weird names like the above MSTT31-entry, which usually is representing an un-hinted Type 1 version of a TrueType font printed from a Windows application via the MS PSCRIPT printing engine.

Ok,

So what I need to do is edit the PDF file with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
So I need the font on my local pc. Where can I get it?
I looked at downloads.com and fonts.com.

Thanks,
Paul

This font is an Adobe/Linotype registered font with the name Tekton. It's based on the hand lettering of West Coast architect Frank Ching, who wrote out the text for his books, Tekton Regular is an Adobe Originals typeface designed by David Siegel in 1989. Tekton Bold was designed by Adobe Type Staff’s Jim Wasco in 1990. You might find it bundled or freely under a different name, but the original is copyrighted.

don't know if this helps but my brother is an industrial designer and he used to use a CAD program called GenericCAD which produced drawings with this type of font.  With Acrobat it was possible to print using Acrobat Distiller to a PDF such as your example which could then be published.  I spent some time trying to get the 'font' out of the package but it appears to be unuseable by Windows.  I have only recently been using Linux and haven't tried it there.  As dearsina says it might be possible to get the original font in a version that works with your OS.

Thanks to everyone for your information.

I never did get the exact font to edit the PDF in
Acrobat.
