Change your keyboard settings in the control panel. You might need some Swedish only files. You will be able to switch between SE and EN language settings, if you want.

Since no one else seems to be able to help you, let me jump in, but with the disclaimer that I don't know anything about default fonts for the Swedish version of XP.
You may be able to solve your problem by tweaking the fonts settings for the various system utilities you have. For instance, using the "Display" Control Panel, click on the Appearance tab, then look at the settings for the various elements that show up. Click on the Message text, then set the font for it to something you are pretty sure has the font elements you need. (Make sure you remember the old setting, so you can return to it in case the new one works even worse than the old one.) In your web browser, select Internet Options from the Tools menu, then click on the Fonts button on the General tab. See if you can make some improvements that way.
In general, your problem may be solved, not by trying to replace existing fonts with a reinstall, but just by pointing Windows to a more appropriate font to use instead of what it is using.
You can also run Setup again without doing a full reinstall. Head to the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel. Click on the button that say Add/Remove Windows Components (or whatever it is in Swedish), then tell Windows to continue. Windows will check to make sure that all its standard components are what they should be, and will fix any that aren't.
