why aren't all futura fonts showing?

Futura fonts are installed in windows fonts folder but not all fonts are showing in MS Office Applications

Weevil4U,

Remember that fonts like Futura Bold and Futura Italic will not show as individual fonts, they will appear as the Futura font with the Bold or Italic setting applied. Can you clarify if this is the issue, or if you have a broader range of the variations of Futura and some of those are not appearing?

Yes there are a broader range of futura fonts that are in the windows fonts folder those being:

Futura MdCn BT-Italic(True Type)
Futura Medium condensed BT(True Type)
Futura Medium Italic BT (True type)
FuturaBT Bold (True Type)
FuturaBT Medium (TrueType)
FuturaBT MediumCondensed(True Type)
FuturaBT MediumItalic (True Type)

Of all these different types onl y Futura MDBT and Futura MdCn BT are actually showing up in MS apps like Word and Outlook.
The users in our company need to have these other font types show up in MS Office Apps.

I think that lherrou is correct in what he says, and it is just a matter of mapping the 'font family names' (which you see in Word) with the 'font file names'.

When you view the Windows\Fonts folder, you may see (depending on version of Windows, and selected view) the font names and/or the font file names.

For example, the standard 'Arial' font consists of four font files, with 'name' and 'font file name' values as follows:

Arial = arial.ttf
Arial Bold = arialbd.ttf
Arial Bold Italic = arialbi.ttf
Arial Italic = ariali.ttf

Then there is the 'Arial Narrow' font, which also consists of four variants, and 'Arial Black', which has only the one variant.

I don't have any of the Futura fonts, so I can't confirm, but I suspect that:

Futura MdCn BT-Italic(True Type)
Futura Medium condensed BT(True Type)

may be (Italic, Regular) variants of the 'Futura MdCn BT' family, and:  

FuturaBT Bold (True Type)
FuturaBT Medium (TrueType)
FuturaBT MediumItalic (True Type)

may be (Bold, Regular, Italic) variants of the 'Futura MDBT' family.

Not quite sure where the other two fit:

Futura Medium Italic BT (True type)
FuturaBT MediumCondensed(True Type)
