Question
Error while importing new font
one of the users purchased a font online. Unpacked with Winrar. Then when tried to install it the error windows pops up saying "The Eurostile.ttf is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Wait until Windows is finished using the file, and then try again." I am able to open it, view it and import on another machine with XP on board.

And what about elsewhere on the machine? While the primary place where fonts are located is the Windows Font folder, they can be located elsewhere. Adobe products in particular will install fonts in their own locations when the product is installed. Does Eurostile show as a font that can be used when in any programs?

It sounds like the font is already installed on the computer where you are seeing this error. You might try going to the <system>/fonts/ folder and see if the font file is present there.
