Is there any way to put hotspots/hperlinks on my images in Word and have them work in the compiled HTML Workshop file? If not is there a tool that i can use to do this which creates hotspots as html code?

You need to create a client-side image map, like this...
<MAP NAME="mymap">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="240,124,366,138" HREF="mylink.htm" TARGET="_self">
</MAP>
and then have the image in HTML
<img src="myimage.gif" ALT="Image Map" border=0 USEMAP="#mymap">
then when the users clicks on the coords on the image it will go to the link in the map. You only need to work out the coords you want as hotspots. FrontPage will do this for you, but you can get the coords form most graphics packages and then build the map by hand.
