I have a problem with jpg files. Some of them could not be opened recently. Although the thumbnail in the explorer bar seems to show ok. When trying to open with Windows picture and fax viewerit says "drawing failed". IrfanView opens the picture, but shows only the top of it (about 20% of all size), everything else on the picture is gray.
Tried to import using corel draw - result is the same - it shows only upper part of the picture.
Thinking it is computer/software/storage device problem - the pictures taken on the other computer have the same problem.
Any ideas how can it be fixed, if possible at all?
Logically if thumbnail looks ok, it should be some way to "extract" the picture from jpg?
Any suggestions are welcome!

There are a bunch of jpeg recovery programs available. Some free, some shareware, some very expensive. Most are good at just one or two types of problems. Not knowing what inside the jpeg file is causing the error, I can't recommend one over another.
I suggest trying a number of the free or share programs to see which works (if any).
